Meet Dr. Jason R. Nelsen, DDS
Dr. Nelsen is passionate about providing excellent dental care while building genuine relationships with his patients. He takes the time to listen, educate, and make sure every patient feels comfortable and confident in their care. Beyond dentistry, patients quickly learn that Dr. Nelsen loves a good dad joke! His sense of humor, calm personality, and caring approach help create an environment where patients can relax and feel at ease.
Dr. Jason R. Nelsen founded Nelsen Dental Excellence 20 years ago. His passion for general, cosmetic and implant dentistry has allowed him to give people beautiful smiles and restore function in missing teeth. Dr. Nelsen can perform almost all dental procedures in the office often the same day with a limited amount of referrals needed.
Education & Training
Dr. Jason Nelsen was born and raised in Wisconsin, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin. After completing his undergraduate studies he attended dental school at New York University, earning his Doctor of Dental Science in 2001. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Nelsen was selected for a residency position at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center.
Dr. Nelsen moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2004 and has been in private practice since. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Association, and theAcademy of General Dentistry. In addition to his experience and training, Dr. Nelsen was named one of America’s Top Dentists in 2009.
As a father, Dr. Nelsen strongly believes in providing the finest quality care to our patients. His goals are to educate, motivate and provide exceptional dental care.
